Overwatch Player Toxicity “not solved but getting better,”

Blizzard are continuing to combat the toxic behavior in Overwatch but have admitted things are not as “great as they should be.”

Speaking in the latest developer update video, game director Jeff Kaplan gave an update on this. The changes to the report system in the game along with the feedback and warning that Blizzard give players has helped. That said though, reports of abuse in competitive play are up 20% and abuse though in-game chat has declined 17% since recent changes to the system.

To further combat the toxic behavior the team at Blizzard are also taking to social media and even YouTube to keep an eye on the behavior and reacted accordingly. This has even been seen in the Overwatch League were players have been fined for inappropriate behavior.

You can see the full developer update video above.

Overwatch is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

People, eh? They can't help but ruin everything. And this is why, when EA said "people don't care about single-player games anymore", I laughed so hard I thought I'd rupture my spleen.
