Outlast Developers Red Barrels Confirms Sequel

Red Barrels, developers of the terrifying great horror Outlast have confirmed they are developing a sequel. During an interview with Bloody Disgusting, co-founder Philippe Morin and team realised after finishing up with the Xbox One version that they had "at least another horror game in us. So yes, were working on Outlast 2".

Not much is given on details, but from the interview they have said that it will be set within the same universe of the first, but in a new location with new characters. "We might go back to Mount Massive Asylum one day" he said "but for now we have new ideas and themes we’d like to explore and we think we’re cooking up something special" 

So with that said expect more frights from the indie devs. Outlast was a big mainstream success on current gen consoles and PC and the new Outlast will certainly up the scale in horror.
