OpenIV is Back, Minus its Liberty
After Rockstar's recent clarification of their modding policy, the popular GTA mod OpenIV has been confirmed as remaining in active development, although the team are "currently revising [their] plans for the future".
In a statement on the GTA forums, the OpenIV team said "we want to say "Thank you" to everyone who supported us in this tough situation. We’re very grateful for your support; for demonstration of the fact, that modding community is still a minority, but very vocal, creative and determined minority. You made the impossible and this story is already scribed into the history of PC gaming and the Internet itself.
Yes, this is your victory! Congratulations and many thanks once again!"
Sadly, the plan to add Liberty City into GTA V has now been scrapped, as this is against Rockstar's modding policy. The team expressed their sadness and this, as it was a big project for them. Nonetheless, development of the software will continue as before, albeit without Liberty City being present in the roadmap.

OpenIV stating without a doubt that they agree with the mass downvoting of GTA V.
