Official Patch Notes for Free Disney Dreamlight Valley Update Sew Delightful Revealed
Disney Dreamlight Valley's free Sew Delightful patch has finally arrived! After players get the opportunity to delve into The Storybook Vale, it's time to return to the Valley to meet a new friend in the form of a new villager and much more!
The official patch notes share all of the changes coming with the update and a few of the things that will be coming at a later date. We'll be going through all of the things that were mentioned in the patch notes to have a clear look at what we can expect, and then we'll look at what's coming in the later days of December.
First is the reason for the patch's name overall: the release of Sally from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas! She'll be bringing her signature patchwork style to the Valley as her friendship quest rewards will let you don her signature look. We've known about Sally's arrival for a while, and players will finally be able to reunite the two lovers from Halloween Town.
Those excited about the Holiday period will also be happy to hear that the new Star Path has arrived! The Frost & Fairies path arrives alongside Sally, and it gives players the opportunity to enjoy the fae fashion alongside some magical holiday-inspired items.Unlike previous passes, however, it seems like this one will have a unique feature with the Bonus Rewards tab! Colour variants and other rewards will be available for those who see the whole completion of the pass.
The Gift of Giving returns for those who were unable to participate last year, too: collect Festive Wrapping Paper and create seasonal decorations to decorate your Valley, Eternity Isle, and The Storybook Vale with! The Festive Fish collection is also coming, giving you a reason to collect all of the rare fish that were available. If you missed it last year (or, like us, were unable to finish it due to a bug), you'll be able to finalise your collection!
Start saving up your Star Coins once again, as Scrooge McDuck's Store will be receiving a slew of new items! This time, the new items will be themed after The Lion King and other Villager homes. Remember that as of The Storybook Vale update, you can get different rotations of items across Eternity Isle and The Storybook Vale Scrooge McDuck stores.
Finally, Brazilian players will be thrilled to learn that the highly requested feature of having the game translated to Brazilian Portuguese has officially come to life in the Sew Delightful update! This is also true for both The Rift in Time and The Storybook Vale expansions, meaning that players will finally be able to enjoy the entire experience in their preferred language.
The aforementioned Floating Islands will also be making a debut in this patch. Perfect for those trying to be competitive in the DreamSnaps or those who wish to decorate on a blank canvas, you'll now be able to start the quest with Merlin to get access to these empty sections in the Valley, letting your creativity run loose. This is doubly true with the release of the 16-point rotation system, where you'll now be able to rotate items far more than you could originally! This also arrives with pond-like furniture items, such as the Relaxing Oasis and the Watering Hole, which will now have decoration sections to place water-based furniture in them.
If you're keen on learning from the competition, you'll now be able to look at the top three most-voted DreamSnaps to see what sorts of things the biggest winners did! This will be an opt-in sort of mechanic, however, as not everyone might be comfortable with sharing their DreamSnap creation, and due to compliance with rules and standards, PlayStation players will not be eligible to participate.
