No More Heroes 3 - New Cinematic Trailer Revealed at Game Awards

No More Heroes has been somewhat elusive in regards to news, but thankfully a new trailer was recently revealed at The Game Awards 2019 to wet our appetites. 

In true No More Heroes fashion, the new trailer subverts everything you would expect, distorting the classic tale of ET : The Extraterrestrial into a warped re-imaging complete with douchebag aliens. It’s a given that this Alien – only known as Fu – will be the antagonist of the game along with his cohort of newfound criminal aliens. Aliens that see themselves as ‘superheroes’ no less. This seems like a fun premise that takes the original ‘assassinate everyone else’ concept and takes it to bizarre heights. 

Dissecting the trailer further, there are indications that the local population is either destroyed or morphed into something else, the latter being most likely. If the premise is set out like this, fighting jacked up Alien ‘bros’ and neon tinted enemies could be the order of the day. 

The striking thing about the reveal is the mesmerising visuals and impressive production values. No More Heroes 3 is shaping up to be a worthy end to the trilogy, here’s hoping the trailer is an indication of things to come. No concrete release date has been confirmed, with it stating sometime in 2020.
