No Man's Sky Meets Minecraft in Cubic Odyssey — Check Out the Announcement Trailer
Atypical Games is proud to announce their upcoming Cubic Odyssey, an ambitious open-world title that's being published by Gaijin Network Ltd. In the latest announcement trailer, we get a look at what's to come in the experience in a voxel-based world reminiscent of Minecraft with space-exploration elements of No Man's Sky.
Take control of a character as you mine resources, refine materials, and build bases, vehicles, and starships to explore the world and stop the ever-spreading Red Darkness. This infection is spreading across the galaxy, and it'll be up to you to bring it to a halt by setting off on an intergalactic journey that'll span the underground mines of the world to the stars themselves.
We intend to build a boundless open world where every planet, every system, and every moment is yours to shape
- Andrei Lopata, CEO of Atypical Games
The ambitious title has a lengthy announcement trailer for players to check out, giving them a close look at some of the things that are already in development and what you can expect. Explore the planet and beyond to fight against numerous threats, from other life forces to infection, with hundreds of planets to discover.
Cubic Odyssey will feature single-player and co-op, letting you head out into the vast expanses of the universe either alone or accompanied by a group of friends. You'll level up your skills, unlock crafting recipes, and advance through RPG-style progression to uncover more and find more planets and worlds to explore.
Cubic Odyssey is set to release sometime in 2025, but we do not know whether it'll be in Early Access or a full launch yet. We do know that it's coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam.
