Nintendo Switch Lite Announced
Nintendo have announced a new version of the Switch - Switch Lite.
As you can see in the video above, it is a little smaller than the Switch, because the Joy-Cons are integrated into the screen. It is a purely mobile device, meaning that you cannot output to your TV - as such, the Lite will not come with a dock or HDMI cable. Nintendo assure people that it will be able to play all of the games in the existing Switch library that support handheld mode. Which should be most of them.
There are going to be three colours available at launch: yellow, grey and turquoise. There's no word on how much the Switch Lite will be, but it will be launching on 20th September 2019. There will also be a carry case and screen protector available.
A limited edition - the Zacian & Zamazenta Edition console - will be coming out 8th November 2019, branded with Pokémon Sword and Shield. It will not come with a copy of either game, which releases 15th November.
Check out the video above for more details about the Nintendo Switch Lite, and we'll tell you how much it will cost as soon as we know.
