Nintendo Give Away Free WiiU Games with Mario Kart 8

It seems Nintendo are hoping for big things to happen with the release of Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU and are making real efforts to push the game. Nintendo have just announced that, as well as a whole slew of limited edition bundles and deals, players who register their copy, whether physical, an eShop download or part of a bundle, on Club Nintendo before June 31st will be eligible to download a completely free extra game.

Curiously, there is a difference in the availability of titles for American and European gamers. American WiiU owners will only be able to choose from New Super Mario Bros. U, Pikmin 3, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, and Wii Party U. Europeans will be able to choose from the previous four titles as well as Nintendo Land, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Game & Wario, The Wonderful 101, Sonic Lost World and Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

To top of the Mario Kart 8 news Nintendo have also revealed that players need no longer fear the wrath of the blue shell as it can now be destroyed, hurrah!
Mario Kart 8 will be released on the WiiU on May 30th.
