Nintendo Announce New 2DS XL
Nintendo might be attempting to return themselves to home console glory with the Switch, which is the company’s fastest-selling new console to date, but they’re not forgetting their stranglehold on the handheld market. The latest addition to the “3DS Family” as they call it is the New 2DS XL. Set to launch in Europe on the 28th of July, the console will also be accompanied by three new games: Hey! PIKMIN, Miitopia, and Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training.
Unlike the previous 2DS, which had a slate form factor, this new device keeps the clamshell design of the New 3DS XL, but without the 3D hardware. Seeing as how this is how most 3DS players tend to play anyway, the only surprise we have here at GameGrin is that they didn’t release it earlier. Check out the trailer above for details of the system and the new games coming soon.

Honestly, it looks like a knockoff 3DS...

But the return of a Dr Kawashima game is pretty exciting!

I quite like the look of it. Definitely happy to see a new brain training game, I like those.
