Ninja Simulator Emerges From the Shadows with a Reveal Trailer
Developer RockGame might actually be trying to rescue the word "simulator" from the novelty realm famously populated by Surgeons and Goats. The studio's recently announced game, Ninja Simulator, looks to—somewhat surprisingly—be an actual, realism-focused stealth ninja game. Check out the announcement trailer above and visit the Steam store page for more information.
While the trailer doesn't show off any gameplay footage (it's more of a proof-of-concept than anything), there's hardly an abundance of ninja games on the market right now and a good stealth romp will always have a place in players' hearts.
Concerns are raised, however, when looking at publisher PlayWay's other announced titles. It seems the publisher has a penchant for funding endless Simulator games: Bum Simulator, American Motorcycle Simulator, Autopsy Simulator, Samurai Simulator, Viking Simulator and more. They're seemingly being created by different developers, so the games can't be completely lumped in together in terms of quality. With that said, most of the trailers and screenshots released for PlayWay's titles appear pre-rendered. Perhaps it's worth waiting for more concrete pre-release coverage before putting down any cash for these titles.
Ninja Simulator has no current release date and is planned for release on Steam.

I'm hopful for this. PlayWay don't just publish games with Simulator in the title, they also put out House Flipper and Bad Dream: Coma, two well reviewed games. One of those isn't even a simulator.
The trailer looks boss.
