Nine Minutes of 'Ary and the Secret of Seasons' Gameplay

Developer eXiin has unveiled a nine-minute gameplay trailer for its upcoming 3D action adventure title, Ary and the Secret of Seasons. It's surprising how much the game brings to mind the more pleasant aspects of 3D platformers from the PlayStation 2 and Xbox era, as well as certain entries in Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series. With open environments to explore, enemies to fight, puzzles to solve and platforming obstacles to traverse, this is an experience many players will be familiar with; however, it appears to be filled with enough care and polish to potentially stand out as a stellar example of the style of 3D action adventure that once flooded the market.

With the ability to wield the power of the four seasons, goofy young protagonist Ary will go on a quest to save her brother, Flynn. On the way, Ary will fulfil her destiny to become the 'Winter Guardian'.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch and PC on 28th July.
