Next Car Game on Steam Early Access
If you were a fan of the Destruction Derby games of old, or the Flatout series of recent, you'll get a kick out of Next Car Game from Bugbear Entertainment.
Featuring races as well as destruction derbies, this physics-led racing game is already a blast, even these few months before release.
Well, good news - it's hit Steam Early Access, so you can pre-order and play around with these exciting features:
- A playable Technology Sneak Peek 2.0. Have fun on the physics playground!
- Two cars, American and European style, with unique handling traits.
- Two race tracks and one derby stadium, both tarmac and gravel surfaces.
- Race and derby game modes with up to (!) 24 cars, all with dynamic damage.
- Soft-body car damage physics system that doesn't need a super computer.
- Dynamic content that reacts realistically – fences and billboards break down, tires fly around.
- Different types of engines and tires to test the effect of upgrades.
- Player garage.
Other features coming soon include an online multiplayer, which the Destruction Derby series was clearly lacking. It's no excuse that the PSOne didn't even have a modem. With the 24 car derby mode, that would be a great way to settle arguments after the football.
