Next Battlefield Game Will Release 2016, Hardline Set For March

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson announced yesterday during the companies earning call that the next Battlefield game wouldn't be likely until 2016. 

According to Wilson, this would not only prevent series fatigue, but it would also allow upcoming Star Wars title Star Wars: Battlefront to release without any internal competition. 

The earning call also gave EA the opportunity to reveal when the next title in the flagship series would be released. Battlefield: Hardline is now set for a March 17th release in North America and March 19th in Europe. 

The title was delayed back in July following beta tests and is hoping to release more successfully than last years Battlefield 4.
