Next Assassin's Creed Set In Victorian London
Once again Ubisoft have proved to have be totally unable to keep a secret and details of the next Assassin's Creed game have leaked to Kotaku.
According to their source, the next game will be called Assassin's Creed - Victory and will be set in 19th century London.
The leak states that the game will be out next year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC and has been worked on by Ubisoft quebec for the past few years. Kotaku apparently have seen "target gameplay footage" and have several screenshots of the video up for people to gawk at.
The studio worked on DLC for previous titles in the series The Tyranny of King Washington and Freedom Cry and the game is to use the Anvil engine just likeAssassin's Creed Unity. The video supposedly stated that the footage was done entirely in the game engine, so we're not talking about pre-rendered promo fluff.
Moments after PCGamer posted an article about the leak, Ubisoft responded to their requests for comment thusly:
It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we're disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we're excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin's Creed Unity for players.
It's good to see that they are still working away to remedy the calamitous launch of Assassin's Creed Unity then.
Victory is thought to be hitting the streets in the third quarter of next year.

I've always wanted an AC game set in Victorian London, but I just can't get myself excited for the series any more. They should've used London for ACIII in my opinion.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they revealed their CEO to be Mr. Bean.
