New Update Plan Released for Dragon's Dogma 2
The release if Dragon's Dogma 2 was met with backlash over a both performance issues and microtransactions, which many felt had no place in a single-player experience. Capcom and the Dragon's Dogma 2 team have worked hard to clarify the situation and improve the experience for both consoles and PC, with the latest update being a plan for the upcoming patches.
Both PC and consoles will be getting a new option to start a new game, allowing players to start fresh if they feel their previous save was not quite what they hoped for. Additionally, the amount of the item Art of Metamorphosis, which is used to changed the appearance of the Arisen or their Main Pawn, has had it's quantity upped to 99, allowing gamers to edit themselves as often as they like, as long as they can afford the crystals! Finally, the quest which rewards the Arisen with their own dwelling will no be available earlier in the game. These changes are joined by other text display and bug fixes.
Some fixes are aimed solely at consoles, with the option of switching both Motion Blur and Ray Tracing on/off being on the top of the list. Additionally, new Frame Rate options, Variable and Max 30fps, will be made available. It should be noted that the aforementioned Motion Blur and Ray Tracing fixes will not affect frame rate significantly; further improvements are planned down the line.
The fixes focused on the Steam version of the game are slightly smaller, with improved quality when DLSS Super Resolution is enabled and model rendering issues.
