New Trailer for Hardspace: Shipbreaker Teases Early Access
Salvaging is typically relegated to a side-activity in games: a means to an end more than the primary focus. Not so in Blackbird Interactive's upcoming title, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, a first-person space salvaging simulator with "true-to-life physics and demolition effects".
With a substantial debt to pay off, Hardspace: Shipbreaker's protagonist must explore space vessels, tearing them apart and saving up enough cash to earn their financial freedom—and a few goodies along the way.
Launching on Steam Early Access later this year, the game will give players access to the first act of a story campaign, two classes of spaceship to salvage and a selection of upgrades to purchase. Of course, all of this (and more) will be expanded upon as the game progresses in development. Players can look forward to leaderboards, daily challenges and mod support in the future.
