New ‘The Valiant’ Trailer Shows Off Intuitive Controls Days Before Console-port Release
THQ Nordic today dropped a bombastic new trailer showing off The Valiant’s new gamepad controls ahead of its 11th of July console release, promoting “a new type of RTS is coming to consoles!” Among brief moments of gameplay, The Valiant boasts that players on console (as well as PC) can “easily command” their forces while flanking the enemy, including “seamlessly” selecting squads from a pop-up wheel and much more.
Playing the 15-mission single-player campaign as Theoderich, you and your fellowship of loyal warriors embark on a dangerous voyage through the vast landscape of 13th-century Europe and even the Holy Land, all in a ‘valiant’ effort to prevent the plans of Ulrich von Grevel. Throughout the campaign, you both seek the powerful artefact known as the Rod of Aaron, a source of unimaginable and unholy power. And so, the fate of humanity rests in your hands as you become part of this epic adventure.
Plan your epic journey into the “immersive new tactical RTS experience” as you take command of units, both regular and specialised, who deploy excellent abilities on the battlefield and successively come out the victor. Watch as your units grow in expertise and strength, accumulating battle-hardened experience throughout the story, or join forces with two allies in the intense Last Man Standing co-op mode. In it, you face hordes of enemies that test your mettle and strategic skills or demonstrate your worth as a knight in intense PvP battles.
Both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will be able to grab a copy of The Valiant on the 11th of July 2023 at an SRP of €24.99 / $24.99 / £19.99. PC players can already play the title, however, those who haven’t already purchased it can pick it up at a steal with 50% off during the Steam Summer Sale ending on the 13th of July 2023.
Take up the fight this July as you venture on a journey packed with danger and bravery as the story of “brotherhood and redemption” is laid out to you.
