New Terraria Update Includes Don't Starve Together Collaboration and World Seed
2D sandbox action-adventure game Terraria released a new update for mobile and console versions of the game on 27th April. The 1.4.3. update, also known as update 1.27, includes all content from the 1.4.1. and 1.4.2. updates, settings and UI improvements, bug fixes, new items and achievements, and Don’t Starve Together crossover content in collaboration with Klei Entertainment. The update is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, Android, and iOS and was already available on PC.
As part of the Don’t Starve Together collaboration, Terraria has added an inspired world seed known as The Constant. The Constant features new gameplay elements and mechanics, such as darkness depleting the player’s health and the player needing to eat to fight off starvation. The Constant also features the Don’t Starve and Don’t Starve Together boss Deerclops, along with a variation of his Don’t Starve theme provided by Klei Entertainment themselves. Along with The Constant, the collaboration also includes pets from the Don’t Starve universe, costumes of Don’t Starve playable characters Wilson and Willow, various Don’t Starve themed weapons, items, and emotes, two Don’t Starve food items, and four themed in-game paintings.
Other new features and improvements include the addition of three new achievements, cursor colour customization, the ability to reset settings without having to reset everything, added icons for some storage pets, and improved search mechanics in Crafting and Duplication. Meanwhile, past additions from the 1.4.1. and 1.4.2. updates include the Tenth Anniversary World Seed and Community Contest vanity armours.
Terraria is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Stadia, iOS, and Android, as well as Mac and PC via Steam.
