New Screenshots Give Fans a Look at The Buu Saga in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
Bandai Namco has revealed some more features for the upcoming action-RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, as well as some beautiful screenshots of iconic moments from the Buu Saga being replicated in-game.
The first of these features is the Community Board. Players will be able to earn Soul Emblems throughout the game upon completing specific quests or advancing the story to a certain point, and in turn they can be assigned to the Community Board and combined to receive special benefits. These can include certain power-ups, and different characters can also be combined on the board to uncock exclusive dialogue options.
The other new feature is the Training Ground, and as the name implies it can be used to fight against allies or previous opponents in order to unlock new Super Attacks, or increase the power of previously unlocked Super Attacks. The iconic Kamehameha for example can become the more powerful Super Kamehameha.
The screenshots revealed showcase scenes right up until the end of the Dragon Ball Z anime, even including a shot of Super Saiyan 3 Goku facing off against Kid Buu. Goku and Vegeta’s fusion into Vegito can also be seen, indicating that players will be able to control him in his fight against Super Buu. Ultimate Gohan also looks like he’ll be a playable character for a portion of the story.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot releases on 16th January 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
