New Pokémon Titles to Release on the 3DS and Switch this Year
During Nintendo's latest Pokémon Direct, the company revealed that both the Switch and the 3DS will be seeing the debut of multiple new Pokémon titles this year in the form of Pokkén Tournament DX, and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
Pokkén Tournament DX which is slated to debut on 22 October 2017, will see the introduction of a number of new features linking to the Switch's additional capabilities. For example, players will be able to play the game in both TV and handheld mode, as well as featuring several new Pokémon such as Decidueye, and Litten. Finally, the latest iteration of the game also allows players to access the team battle mode, which sees players select three Pokémon in an attempt to eliminate each of their opponent's Pokemon before they lose all of theirs.
Meanwhile, the second and third games titled, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon received little coverage although it was confirmed the two titles will debut for 3DS on 17 November 2017, and will receive more new information throughout the year.
Finally, Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver have been confirmed to be arriving on the 3DS Virtual Console. They are going to be compatible with the Time Capsule, allowing you to transfer Pokémon across any of the available titles.
