New Naval Simulator Abandon Ship Gameplay

Fireblade Software the team behind their debut title Abandon Ship have released a brand new gameplay trailer showing off the naval simulators combat in action.

We get a look at the depth of the systems players will encounter when in combat, requiring you to think tactically and thoughtfully you must manage your crew to gain optimal performance.

There are various things to bear in mind, from ensuring the positioning of your crew's gunners and maintaining enough distance to combat effectively. Your ship, as well as the enemies, are broken into sections and each has their own health. Playing tactically allows you take out specific parts of the enemy ship and sink them before they sink you. Be warned though as it isn’t just the enemy ship that is a threat, you’ve got the elements as well from lightning, rain, tidal waves and fog. Adapting to succeed will make all the difference.

With upgrades, you can further improve your ship with things like better visibility, weapon range and damage. Hull damage can cause floods on the ship, too much water and you’ll sink. You must also care for your crew, they can be knocked overboard and you'll have to spend precious time rescuing them.
