New Multiplayer Mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Has Been Revealed
The first multiplayer details for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have been revealed via a new 2v2 game mode titled Gunfight. As expected, this is a small scale and fast paced mode taking place in the smallest multiplayer maps available in the game.
Each player has the exact same loadout, with the loadout changing every two rounds. The first team to win six rounds wins the match. If a round lasts more than 40 seconds, the round goes into overtime where each time will have only 10 seconds to capture a flag that appears to secure victory. If no team has won by the end of the round then victory is dictated by the team who has the most health remaining.
Three maps have currently been shown for the mode titled “King”, “Pine” and “Stack”. King takes place in the interior of a warehouse, where as Pine is set in a forest. Stack is a desert container yard, which likely makes for a lot of good hiding spots and tight encounters.
A large multiplayer reveal for the game will be coming 1st August, with the game releasing on 25th October for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
