New Launch Character for The Rocky Horror Show: Touch me

The counting is complete, and after including funds raised both through the Kickstarter and sales from their website, the upcoming free-to-play rhythm action game The Rocky Horror Show: Touch Me surpassed its initial goal and raised more than $40,000 - enough to release an extra launch character for all of its backers. During the funding of the game, backers were asked to pick their favourite character to be included at launch in addition to those already announced. The landslide winner was Frank N Furter, the sweet transvestite who’s at the centre of the show.

The highly-anticipated game, based on the hugely popular musical stage show, is slated for release on touch screen mobile devices in 2017. Beta Testers who backed $15 or more will be able to try the game early, and get to keep all the premium launch content - which now will include Frank N' Furter in addition to the other characters original planned to be available at the game's release. The team also offered various incentives to backers along the way such as chocolates, CD soundtracks, Vinyl Pressings of demo music from the show and even an oven glove! Our very own News Editor Dominoid is eagerly awaiting a CD and oven glove later this year in fact.

"We are thrilled to have passed this important milestone; being a free-to-play and mobile game, it was never going to be easy to hit our Kickstarter goal," said Oscar Clark, director of Rocky Lolly Games. "The fact that we beat it by enough to be able to offer our backers an additional launch character is amazing. We are so grateful for all the support we have had from the community." Rocket Lolly director, Ella Romanos continued: "This has been an incredible time, with crowd-funding being even harder than we were told to expect,". "But, in the end, it's been worth all the sleepless nights because we can go on to make a game knowing that there is an amazing audience out there who can't wait to take that jump to the left...".
