New Hyrule Warriors Featuring Skyward Sword's Fi
Included in the screenshots are the first looks at Fi, Ghirahim and the Imprisoned, characters from the 2011 Wii title The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Fi will be a playable character and the other two will be enemies - most likely bosses. They will join Midna from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess as characters from the wider Legend of Zelda universe appearing in this game. It also means there may be more playable characters left to reveal - we already know the moon from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask will be an attack, after all.
Being a mash-up, there may be no good reason to include them other than "because". But as Hyrule Warriors doesn't bare The Legend of Zelda mark, it may be non-canonical. Which is a good thing, seeing as how fans of the series like to work out the timeline for The Legend of Zelda and the Triforce.
Hyrule Warriors comes to Wii U in Japan on 14th August, EU on 19th September, AU on 20th September and NA on 26th September,
