New Heroes for the Storm
As part of the Eternal Conflict update centred around the Diablo universe, rumors of the next hero being a monk have been floating around for a long time, after Johanna, The Butcher and King Leoric. Finally, we get a glimpse of the upcoming new hero (which should be the next) and what he brings to the Heroes of the Storm.
And of course, with all things Blizzard, it comes with a shiny new cinematic trailer that you can get your kicks from (pun unintended) while waiting for his launch!
Kharazim, Monk of Ivgorod, the first support character from the Diablo universe, will bring inner peace to his allies—and pain to his enemies. He’s a mobile melee Hero who can specialize in different paths by choosing one of three traits via his talents. Kharazim can select Iron Fists to gain bonus attack damage, Transcendence to heal himself through melee combat, or Insight to restore mana and find a balance between both offensive and defensive roles.
Warcraft gets another entry in the Heroes of the Storm as well, with Rexxar and Misha set to take to the stage next.
Charging into the brawl from Azeroth is the legendary beastmaster, Rexxar, and his loyal bear, Misha. He’s a unique ranged warrior, who calls on his ferocious companion to follow him around the battlefield and attack his foes. Misha is integral to Rexxar’s gameplay, harassing enemies, absorbing damage, and stunning enemy characters with a targeted charge ability.
Given the usefulness of a commanded summon in the game, this combination is definitely one to watch out for, and personally looking forward to this very much!
Lastly, for the Starcraft universe, they will get their first warrior, Artanis. Not much is known yet except for his classification, but stay tuned for more!
If you’re the kind of player who prefers warriors that get up close and personal with their enemies, Artanis may be just the Hero for you. The leader of the Protoss will soon join the fight as the first StarCraft warrior, and he’ll be bringing some heavy hitting abilities with him.
