New Details About Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Revealed with a New Character Trailer
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be released in a few weeks, and with it, Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive have revealed new information along with a new character trailer.
Sciel's character trailer is part of the Expedition 33 Character Trailer series that puts a spotlight on the different playable characters available. Previously the trailers have focused on Gustave, Maelle and Lune, and fans will be introduced to Monoco the Gestral next week.
Sandfall Interactive have also confirmed more details that will be interesting to both PC and console players ahead of launch. For example, players can fine-tune the graphics settings to their liking with a host of in-game settings and pre-sets that range from Low to Epic. This will allow players to experience the best possible framerate and experience while balancing the Unreal Engine 5-powered graphics to fit their hardware.
Likewise, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X players can choose to play Expedition 33 in either Performance or Quality modes that will improve the framerate or image resolution depending on the mode chosen. PlayStation 5 Pro players will find that the game is PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced, and Xbox Players can pre-load the game now ahead of launch. They also have the additional benefits of taking advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere.
Overall, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will have a synced global release for digital players, so that they can launch immediately at 12 AM PDT. There will also be 55 Achievements available to unlock, or 56 Trophies if you include the Platinum on PlayStation 5. For reference, here are a few of the Trophies and Achievements that you can unlock:
- Reach level 33 to get Expeditioner.
- Use a fully charged Overcharge with Gustave that Breaks an enemy for Overcharge.
- Find all the journals from prior expeditions to get Follow The Trail.
- Defeat a boss without taking damage for Professional.
- Find all 33 music records to get the Conoisseur.
These are only a few of the Trophies and Achievements that you can discover when Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launches on 24th April. It's currently available for pre-order for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with day one availability for Xbox Game Pass users. Plus, PC users can pre-order the digital edition with a limited 10% pre-order discount if you purchase it on Steam and Epic Game Store. There will also be a digital Deluxe Edition available for all platforms, which includes the "Flowers" Collection, a "Clair" custom outfit for Malle and an "Obscur" custom outfit for Gustave in addition to the base game.
