New Crash Bandicoot Game Coming Exclusively to Xbox One

Editor's Note: The astute amongst you will have probably noticed the date on this article already. This April Fools gag was brought to you by GameGrin.com

Classic mascot platformer series Crash Bandicoot is set to return in time for the holiday season this year, but in an unexpected twist, the former unofficial mascot of Sony is not returning to the company that made him famous, instead he will be appearing exclusively on Microsoft’s platform instead.

The game was originally created by Naughty Dog, before changing hands a number of times over the 2000s, with the rights owned by Activision until very recently. Microsoft have announced that they have purchased the rights to the series and a new entry will be created by their internal development team, many of whom were part of the Rare team that created such classic platformers as Conker’s Bad Fur Day and Banjo Kazooie.

The new title is currently titled simply “Crash Bandicoot”, although it’s not certain if this is a working title or not. It is expected in the 4th quarter of this year and will be exclusive to the Xbox One, with Microsoft stating that this game will not come to any other platforms including the PC.
