New Borderlands 2 DLC Leaked Ahead Of E3
Borderlands 3 is just around the corner, but that hasn’t stopped Gearbox Software from working on one last piece of DLC for their immensely popular 2012 looter-shooter Borderlands 2. The news of the DLC comes in way of a Steam leak that has since been removed, with the DLC being titled “Commander Lillith and The Fight For The Sanctuary”.
The description for the DLC reads “Return to the award winning shooter-looter for a new adventure that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3. Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault's map has been stolen and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. Fight new bosses, explore new zones, get new loot (including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary) and join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on ruling the planet.”
The DLC is set to release later this week on the 9th June, which is coincidentally the same day as Microsoft’s E3 press conference. It’s entirely likely that the DLC will see an official announcement during the event, with the download being available on the same day.
Fans who just want to play the next Borderlands installment will have to wait for the release of Borderlands 3 on 13th September 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
