New Blair Witch Gameplay Trailer Provides More Story Details
A new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Blair Witch game has been released, and it appears to be taking a psychological approach on the iconic horror story. The trailer mainly focuses on protagonist Ellis talking to a woman named Jess, with the two both questioning his own sanity as he travels deeper into the isolated forests in search of a missing child.
The trailer also showcases some gameplay interactions with the character’s canine partner Bullet. It appears that Bullet can perform a multitude of actions, such as digging up spots of dirt and searching for specific items.
The game is coming from Layers of Fear’s developer Bloober Team along with Lionsgate Games, so expect plenty of puzzle solving and exploration. The developers have also noted that there will be combat in the game, however it’s yet to be seen how it will work.
Blair Witch is releasing 30th August for Xbox One and PC, and will also be available on Game Pass at launch.
