New £4m Prototype Fund for UK Videogames Industry
TIGA, the network for videogame developers and digital publishers has seen a new fund for brand new indie game developers into a official status. Now the UK government will give grants from £25,000 to £50,000 to make game prototypes and fully realized indie projects. The Prototype Fund will run from 2015 to 2019. Other key features of this grant include:
•talent development initiatives - this will include competitions for students and graduate teams to create and showcase new games, together with mentoring for businesses and individuals;
•opportunities for talented individuals to work on games prototype projects; and, applications will be invited from eligible businesses and individuals based anywhere in the UK.

I've got a game I want to develop, can I get £25,000? It's an RPG, and I already have a copy of RPG Maker, otherwise I'd need £26,000.
It's an expensive peice of software...

Isn't this basically the grant scheme they withdrew about 4 years ago?
Not that I'm complaining, anything that helps the UK Gaming industry is great of course.
