New 1TB PS4 Ultimate Player Edition Announced
Sony has announced a brand new 1TB PlayStation 4 console for Europe, due to release on July 15th.
This follows the announcement of a slightly updated console which is due out in Japan at the end of the month. The new console is ten percent lighter and uses less energy--eight percent to be precise.
Fans hoping for a redesign or 'PS4 slim' will find no joy here, but the new PlayStation 4 does feature one cosmetic change, with the HDD cover now sporting a matte finish.

Does this mean we're back to Sony playing catch-up constantly again? :) :P

Puts a bigger hard drive in, calls it a new release, wat, hardly a major change

Were getting this and Japan gets a lighter, less power consuming in all matte. At least you can upgrade the hard drive yourself on current model. Although, external hdd support like the Xbox One would be a nice addition.

Oh, I didn't realise that the PS4 didn't support external HDDs. That's a bit of a shame really.
