Need for Speed Unbound Announces Vol. 9's Content
The live-service Criterion Games and Electronic Arts Need for Speed Unbound are expanding with the brand-new Vol 9 content, which is set to bring an all-new mode and vehicles for players to interact with, including an exciting new vehicle that hasn't been seen ever in the franchise.
The new mode, named Lockdown, is a twist on the usual street racing action. Bolstering the growing PvPvE extraction-based gameplay, players will team up with three other players against a rival team to complete Contracts, break into Lockup areas, navigate the treacherous Lockdown Zone, and secure the Extraction truck! Completing these tasks successfully will give players the hardest-to-acquire vehicles in the game, such as the Custom BMW M3 GTR '05 and 14 other Most Wanted's Blacklist vehicles!
Lockdown also comes with the capability to ride the motorbike, BMW S 1000 RR 2019. For the first time in the franchise's history, players can use a motorbike, bringing a new unique twist to the mode, with the increased speed and manoeuvrability of a bike alongside the slew of downsides that comes with it!
Vol. 9 will come with new PvP content, including 14 new playlists with over 60 rputes and event configurations! Of course, the first-ever motorcycle events will be making a debut, but we'll also see some special challenges in order to celebrate 30 years of Need for Speed, races inspired by the Most Wanted, new Drift Pro challenges, and much more! It'll also come with a new Speed Pass, offering a Premium track among them, that'll let you get 75 tiers of unlockable content, such as a fully customisable Subaru Impreza WRX STI '99 and the Honda Integra Type R '98!
If you're interested in getting started on Need for Speed Unbound, the Vol. 9 DLC will be part of the Ultimate Collection upon release on the 26th of November. This edition will be at an 80% discount on Steam, the Epic Games Store, Origin, PlayStation, and Xbox for the holiday season, so hold on to your wallets until that arrives!
