Necropolis Release Dated
In the world of Necropolis, death isn't the handicap it used to be in the olden days. It doesn't screw your career up the way it used to. In fact, it might even be a bit of a bonus as dying just gives you a chance to rise up again for another crack at the level you were playing.
The game, published by indie developer HArebrained Schemes, is a 3D action roguelike with a hint of dungeon crawler to it. There's the single player mode that they've already revealed but added to that is a 4-player co-op campaign as well. You play as a nameless adventurer attempting to escape the deadly, many-tiered dungeon/museum of the Archmage Abraxis, fighting (and occasionally running from) the array of monsters Abraxis has collected over his vast lifetime. Find the exit, or die trying.
"We can’t wait to unleash Necropolis onto Steam players. Everyone thought the game was a blast when we played it single-player, but we were blown away by how fun it is to attack the Necropolis with our friends." said Harebrained Schemes Studio Manager, Mitch Gitelman. He added: "If you think hanging out with your friends and whacking on monsters sounds like fun, then this is the game for you."
