Mystery Visual Novel Root Film Announced By PQube

Experience a new thrilling murder mystery from director Hifumi Kono in Root Film, the sequel to Root Letter. 

Root Film follows 23 year old Rintaro Yagumo who is part of a team working to reboot a TV series called "Shimane Mystery Drama Project”, after it was cancelled 10 years ago. What starts as a life changing opportunity quickly takes a bad turn when a horrible murder interrupts the scouting process. 

With a mix of storytelling and puzzle solving gameplay mechanics, players will be drawn into a thrilling tale as they follow the cast on their journey to uncover the truth. To mark the announcement, PQube and Kadokawa Games released a trailer which you can see above. 

Root Film will be releasing sometime in 2020 in the West on both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
