My Time at Evershine Releases Highly Requested Tiers and Announces $2.5 Million Goal for Kickstarter
Pathea Games started the Kickstarter event for their third My Time game after the two successful releases of My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock. The latest entry, now officially named My Time at Evershine, is a big step up from the previous games, and though the title is already 30% of the way done, they were forecasting a $12 million budget, with the additionals from Kickstarter going to newer features.
When it was released, it reached impressive sales goals within minutes, and it continued to get a lot of backing and support from fans of the series and newcomers alike. Now, days after the release of the campaign, Pathea Games has announced that if the title reaches $2.5 million in backing, the team would have the luxury of skipping Early Access altogether, giving a bit of insight into the inner machinations, workings, and struggles that Early Access causes to titles.
Early Access is a double edged sword, while we’re able to get funding and feedback from players well before the end product, it significantly affects our development schedule in a negative way. Each big update we put out will cost us up to a month of packaging, QA, and optimization time, forcing some development to literally stop for a few weeks as key developers work on the release build. If we don’t do Early Access, we will have 4-5 months of extra development time, allowing for a smoother and more traditional development schedule (which we will share later this year).
The team originally expected a backing goal of $500,000 (which is what My Time at Sandrock received four years ago) to $1,000,000 (which was achieved just 26 hours after the project launched). Due to the impressive backing numbers and support My Time at Evershine has received, the team is hoping that they can skip the Early Access entirely.
With this information, if My Time at Evershine is to reach the goal of avoiding the Early Access release, backing the title will be the only way to get the game before it releases.
Alongside this, Pathea Games updated the Kickstarter to include Console versions for four different tiers. There were original hurdles regarding the exclusive content coming to console (which is why it wasn't released alongside the Kickstarter), but backers can now purchase the Ranger Captain (Console Supported) costing $65, the Pet & Gear Exclusive Pack (Console) for $150, the Elegant Wedding Dress Pack (Console) costing $250, and the Custom Art & Town Decor Set (Console) costing $350.
My Time at Evershineis expected to release sometime in May 2026, and the Kickstarter is running until the 24th of October.
