Morrowind Mod Still Going Strong 16 Years After Rebuilding Tamriel

The argument as to which is the best Elder Scrolls game is a strongly fought one. With Skyrim now available on every system under the sun, it'd be easy to just assume that the fifth entry in the series is the most popular, however the third title The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind still has a dedicated and active player base who hold it aloft as the crowning glory of Bethesda's popular RPG series.

16 years ago, a team of artists, coders, and writers created Tamriel Rebuilt, a project to expand the universe and incorporate more of the mythical lands into the game. To this end, the game has been expanding ever since, with more added on a regular basis for users of the mod. Check out the celebratory 16th anniversary trailer above.
