Minecraft: Story Mode Gets A Premiere Date
Minecraft: Story Mode, the latest series from the critically acclaimed Telltale Games now has a few release dates. The first episode, titled "The Order of the Stone" will be available for PC and Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One from October 13th. Physical copies will launch two weeks later on the 27th, which ship with the first episode, and allow you to download the following episodes as they become available.
If you're planning to play on compatible iOS and Android devices, you don't have to wait much longer, as it launches just two days later on the 15th October. There are currently no dates for the Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions, but they will definitely be available in the future.
In Minecraft: Story Mode you play as Jesse, who is forced into a dangerous and epic quest. You will traverse the overworld, visit the Nether, and journey to the End on an adventure to find the members of the legendary Order of the Stone. Without them, terror will reign, so it's up to you to make sure that doesn't happen.
This is the first of Telltale Games' series that does not have an existing story, which gives the masterful storytellers much more creative control over the direction and tone of the game. It's also the first to let you choose from a selection of both male and female characters to play as.
No prices have been announced as of yet.
