Metroid: Samus Returns E3 Reveal
Post main E3 Nintendo showcase, Nintendo have showed gameplay of the original Metroid but re-imagined on the 3DS. 3D is featured as part of the game to give it extra depth, watching the trailer on a 3DS will help give you the full experience. Featuring the original game you know and love, it also comes with brand new mechanics like melee counters, powers and various quality of life features. As well as new sections and secretes to discover, along with the updated soundtrack from the original composers of Metroid 2.
Amiibo support will come with the two currently released Samus sets. Along with the Nintendo stream, they also announced two more Metroid themed Amiibos with the Metroid itself and Samus in her iconic pose in Metroid 2.
Looking to be a great game that'll potentially help reboot the franchise as a whole, Metroid: Samus Returns is set to be released 15th September later this year. It will also feature a collector's edition with a 25 songs in a soundtrack called the Archive.
