Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain PC Retail Disc is Just Steam Installer

The long awaited Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been released and while many of us are enjoying our copies on either console or on PC via Steam. The PC gamers out there who have favoured the retail disc, whether it be to save on downloading the entire game or that their internet isn't the greatest will have a bad time with the PC release of The Phantom Pain.

Discovered by Twitter user graphure, who took a snapshot of their disc showing the contents to be merely a Steam Installer and activation code to download the game - the disc totals 9MB. This is just both wasteful and disappointing. Especially considering the reason why people choose retail copies over digital is so that they don't have to download the entire game, which in more cases is due to a unreliable internet connection.
