Megalo Polis Comes to Steam Early Access

There aren’t many videogames based on politics. There was that Spitting Image game back in the eighties that saw Gorbachev and Nixon wrestling each other, but quite frankly the less said about that abomination the better. With the US elections looming this year however, there’s bound to be much more interest in politics, making it the kind of perfect hot topic to create an RTS game about, right? OK, we don’t understand the logic either, but we’re glad that Black Sheep Studios do, otherwise they’d never have brought this unique title to Steam Early Access.

A fast-paced satirical RTS, Megalo Polis challenges you to oust your rivals as you scramble to sway voters across the country, all while fighting the clock and managing your wallet. It’s a cartoon styled cornucopia of bribery, extortion, smearing and kissing babies, all served up with a healthy dose of satire and cynicism. Currently the game allows you to play as three real life politicians: Hilary Clinton, Donald Trump and Barack Obama. More characters are set to come as the game develops. Here at GameGrin, we can’t wait for the John Major expansion. We may have to wait some time for that…
