Meet Amadeus The Mage In the New Trine 5 Trailer!

Out of the heroes seen in Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, each can be seen to represent an aspect of the group. Pontius the knight is the heart, Zoya the "acrobat" is the wits, and Amadeus is definitly the brains. Being a fully fledged mage, loving husband, and a father of triplets to boot, Amadeus is a font of wisdom (and anxiety) to the trio, acting as the voice of reason and arcane professionalism.

As in earlier entries, Amadeus' main skill is in the creation and levitation of conjured objects! Boxes, planks, and balls are all part of his repertuar and help our heroes overcome the many puzzles they face. Additionally, he can throw said objects at enemies to cause some damage while also being able to lift and throw the foes themselves! Though he never mastered the fireball, it seems Amadeus has indeed added a bit of elemental flair into his arsenal with a new hailstorm-pelting plank, a spell to conjure a burst of wind, and even an exploding box! Put your problem solving skills to the test, or just build a stack of boxes and bypass the puzzle all together! We promise not to tell.

Trine 5, developed by Frozenbyte in Helsinki, Finland, is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch on August 31st, 2023.
