MechWarrior 5: Clans is Out Now; Check Out the Launch Trailer!

Piranha Games have released MechWarrior 5: Clans, the third distinct game of the franchise in the past 15 years. Fans of MechWarrior 4: Vengeance will be delighted to see the return to another story-based entry to the series.

In the launch trailer, you'll see a combination of visuals and explosive gameplay, and is the first to return to a narrative-based linear design, one that hasn't been seen since the year 2000.

Following on from MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, which came out in 2019, Clans will allow players to dive into a captivating campaign as they traverse meticulously designed biomes. Explore the intricate maps, and engage in combat which will allow you to use your own strategies to achieve victory. You can expect to explore a time in the universe which will realise the technological advances in Mech-based warfare.

With a new progression and customisation system, pilots will be encouraged to alter their loadouts with an expansive hub. You'll be able to command your allies with a bird's eye-like Battlegrid, and move quickly with a radial menu. Whether you're using a controller or a keyboard and mouse, you shouldn't have any difficulty.

Piranha Games have dedicated MechWarrior 5: Clans to the Clan Invasion story, an epic period in the franchise's lore. Therefore, it's one of the best places to start, whether you're a veteran pilot, or a newbie arriving for the first time. You can't expect this to be a game where you can just dive in and start shooting, as you'll need to strategise, and plan ahead if you want to win.

Just remember, you'll need to protect your squad, and in doing so, you'll be able to deepen your bonds. Made with Unreal Engine 5, MechWarrior 5: Clans will provide an engaging landscape, impressive Mechs, and keen strategic gameplay for all players.

Interested? Then good news, MechWarrior 5: Clans is out now on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
