Master of Orion Update Ushers in Mods
There's a big update now available for Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars. The rebooted series has seen something of a mixed reception so far, but with the addition of a number of features, including user-created mods, EG Labs and NGD Studios are hoping that the game can return to its glory days once again.
The update sees some improvements to combat, user interface and play mechanics. The game's cut scenes and animations have been given a new lick of paint alongside some adjustments to how the game deals with gravity and pollution on planets.
The headline feature in the update though is the addition of support for player-created modifications. Using Steam's popular Workshop platform, the game can now be adjusted and tinkered with by fans to create whole new gameplay experiences.
The game is available on GOG.com and Steam at the moment, with the latest update installed out of the box. To add to this, the developer have reduced the price of the 4X strategy game, giving a cool 40% off the price to anyone buying it this week.
