Master of Orion Reboot Launch Dated
The original 90's Master of Orion and it's sequels are venerable classics of the 4X (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) strategy genre and the re-imagining of the series is planning on bringing the name into the minds of a new generation.
The legendary game of interstellar diplomacy, warfare and conquest is bringing the best elements of the original games whilst delivering with it the expectations of a modern release. The classic alien races of the original return, this time voiced by sci-fi legends such as Mark Hamill, Michael Dorn and Alan Tudyk.
The new Master of Orion went into Early Access earlier this year and is now ready for release on 25th August 2016. It will be available in two editions, a standard and a collector's edition.
The standard edition of the game will be available for £23.00 with a collector's edition available for £39.99 featuring a digital art book, the three original Master of Orion games, a full orchestral soundtrack by the original Master of Orion composer, retro pixel ship skins and an exclusive race: the Terran Khanate.
Both versions of the game will be officially released on both Steam and GOG on the 25th August but you can buy right now via Early Access.
