Marvel's Avengers Patch 2.2 Adds New Raid and PlayStation-Exclusive Hero

Square Enix has announced that Marvel's Avengers patch 2.2 will add a ton of features.

Discordant Sound is the name of the new four-player Raid that is being added to the game, where players will be tasked to take on Ulysses Klaw. It will follow the events of the War for Wakanda expansion, as Klaw returns to Eastern Africa to attempt to destroy the city.

With great power, comes great responsibility, and Spider-Man knows this, swinging into the game as a PlayStation exclusive Hero. Our favourite uncle-less superhero also comes with the "With Great Power" Hero Event. I think it's important to mention that this Spider-Man will be the Peter Parker variant, with no news on whether Miles Morales will be coming, but we have our fingers crossed!

Players will be able to experience Spider-Man's story, as Peter Parker learns of a deadly new threat and must partner with the Avengers to stop AIM (Advanced Idea Mechanics) from acquiring technology that could make their synthetic army unstoppable.

Additional to the biggest additions of the Raid and the Hero, new features are coming such as:

Shipments - Shipments provide a new path to earn coveted cosmetics, resources, and other items that will be acquired strictly through gameplay. This has been a highly requested option from the community. Each shipment will cost 500 units and pulls from a collection of around 250 possible items, with a small chance of rewarding a premium exclusive shipment outfit. However, luck isn't the only way to acquire this outfit, as players will also automatically receive it after claiming 100 Shipments.

Power-Level Increase - The maximum Power Level has been increased from 150 to 175, and in order for players to acquire the best gear they will have to challenge the Discordant Sound raid.

Gear Upgrading - Marvel's Avengers will now allow players to recycle gear of higher power level to upgrade their current gear. This will have a few exceptions.

For anyone itching to get their hands on update 2.2 will have to wait for the release date, which is set to be on the 30th of November.
