Marvel Rivals Shows Off Upcoming Duelist Mister Fantastic in New Trailer

With the first season of NetEase's Marvel Rivals arriving soon, we're getting a look at some of the upcoming characters that we'll be able to play asOf course, there were five possibly announced characters in the latest animated trailer, "Eternal Night Falls", but the first one we get to see actual gameplay of is none other than Mister Fantastic.

Reed Richards is going to be a duelist hero (essentially DPS for the uninitiated) who will wield a versatile kit of attacks. Of course, his kit focuses on his elasticity, where he'll be able to attack foes from afar and use a diverse kit to fight back enemy forces.

As a duelist, Mister Fantastic isn't the tankiest foe, but he picks up mid-range combat where he doesn't fill the melee role many other characters do; instead, he fights more mixed, changing between middle to close ranges. He has 350 HP, but he's able to enter melee range and receive a shield that increases it to 800 with the help of a 450 shield. Meanwhile, he can either pull enemies to himself or unite them together, offering a great opportunity to take out two priority targets or move them out of position.

His most interesting ability, however, isn't even his ultimate: with his shift ability, Reed Richards can soak up enemy projectiles and return them. In the trailer, we see him bouncing back an Iron Man Invincible Pulse Cannon, so it's a question of which sorts of projectiles he'll be able to return.

His ultimate turns him into a bounce house, donning the muscular form he can take whilst in melee and jumping up and down, dealing damage in a large circle below him. The damage seems modest, but he'll be able to bounce four times, giving him the opportunity to deal some great team damage to enemies that unite too much.

We'll have to wait until more information is released or Season 1 releases. But until then, Mister Fantastic stretches into Marvel Rivals when the newest Season 1 drops.
