Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Coming to Switch
As part of the Switch announcement, Nintendo revealed that the console wouldn't be accompanied by a new Mario Kart title, but a deluxe version of the last one from 2014. It will be a disappointment for those who had the Wii U version, but it has 1080p, all of the DLC as well as other enhancements.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will allow you to play with up to eight players in local multiplayer, up from four in the Wii U version, as well as new tracks and some new faces too: King Boo, Dry Bones, Bowser Jr, and Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl from Splatoon.
The racers can now also hold two items at a time, and players can even choose to use a new Smart Steering feature which:
makes driving and staying on the track easy for novice players and kids, even at 200cc.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launches on 28th April and will be available for £49.99.
