Lost Ember Out Now on PC and PlayStation 4
Run, swim and fly through all kinds of idyllic environments in LOST EMBER, from Moonlight Studios. Set in a natural world that’s thriving after the disappearance of humans, players control a wolf with the power to possess and view the world through the eyes of other animals.
At its core, Lost Ember is an exploration game with a strong focus on narrative. As players inhabit different animals, they’ll discover new locations that help to fill in the story of mankind in its final days —narrated by the wolf’s ever-present Spirit Guide. Expect a thoughtful story that celebrates nature and its beauty, while not shying away from the human loss and betrayal that contrasts it so harshly.
There are over a dozen different animals to control over the course of the adventure, including: a fish, a mountain goat, a parrot, a wombat and a hummingbird. All of these will help players uncover the most distant reaches of the planet.
Tobias Graff, Moonlight Studios’ CEO touches upon some of the game’s themes when he says: “It’s a mystery, and adventure, and mood piece. It’s about the sometimes uneasy marriage between man and nature that we’re all embroiled in, which is becoming an increasingly urgent matter.”
Lost Ember is out now on PlayStation 4, GOG and Steam for £25.99. A Nintendo Switch edition is planned to release in the next few months.
