Lizard Squad Claim Responsibility for Recent Destiny and Call of Duty: Ghosts Server Outage

Yesterday found both Destiny and Call of Duty: Ghosts effected by a temporary server outage that left players unable to connect and play. Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game were having trouble with servers but the problem has since been fixed.

Twitter group @LizardSquad have claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it is their first test. The group were responsible for the DDOS attack on PSN network last month as well as the bomb scare on John Smedleys plane which had to be diverted.  

We can probably expect more attacks on major games and services in the future from this group, thankfully the attacks aren't too substantial to effect the millions of gamers for a long period of time, nevertheless it is still frustrating.
