Life is Strange Live-Action Series on Its Way
Dontnod have announced that they are working with Legendary Digital in order to adapt Life is Strange into a live-action series. In a Tumblr blog, the game's developers said "We’re super excited to announce that we’re teaming up with Legendary Digital Studios and dj2 to develop a digital series based on Life is Strange!"
Aside from the companies working on the project, other details are very light. We know that it will be live-action, and that it will be a "digital series". Our guess is that the show will be developed for online streaming platforms such as Netflix and Now TV, but nothing has been confirmed in this regard.
While this announcement is certainly exciting, we still have many questions to ponder. Will the series be a direct adaption, or will it re-work some character and plot arcs? Who will be cast in the roles of Max and Chloe? Will certain choices be selected as canon for the TV series? Video-game to TV or film adaptions don't have the best track-record, but if anything can pull of a live-action series, it's Life is Strange.
